Glock New York Trigger spring (Gen 3 / 4)

Some people prefer a heavier spring on a defensive weapon, in order to reduce the possibility of an accidental discharge. These springs were originally requested by the New York Police Department for their officers.

Testing various combinations of trigger springs and connectors can also tailor the trigger feel to the shooter's liking.

Available in two versions (the standard trigger pull is around 5lb):

• NY 1 (olive), giving a trigger pull weight of 8lb
• NY 2 (orange), giving a trigger pull weight of 11lb

How it works.

The trigger pull on a Glock actually pulls the trigger backwards, to keep the trigger bar (26) in contact with the firing pin (5). These springs are softer than the standard spring, resulting in a harder trigger feel.
